To Encourage the feminine heart along lifes journey

WALK THE WORD..” Who’s the Boss ? “

” Work willingly at whatever you do as though you were working for The Lord rather than for people. ” Colossians 3:23
Q. How can this verse help us in the tasks we face each day ?
Are you ever tempted to only do the minimum to get by, to find the quickest way, rather than the most thorough to finish a task ? Do you go above and beyond ? Are you able to apply yourself diligently to the tasks you have to, but don’t really want to do ? Are you always searching for the simplest way out ?
It’s easy to look at others performance and compare . Why should I do more than them, my effort is just as good, no one appreciates the work I do anyway!
As Christians we should be demonstrating an attitude of integrity in all that we do. We are to work willingly not apathetically . When we approach our job what ever that may be, with a positive, cheerful and eager manner, not only is our performance enhanced but it is actually more enjoyable.
If God were your boss, would you be turning up to work each day with a bad attitude, in a grumpy mood ? Somehow I think the answer would be ” no “.
Like it or not, our actions , where ever we go are a reflection of our values. So…..who do you go to work for each day? I think if we rem
ind ourselves of this verse , especially when we are suffering from ” the can’t be bothered s “, and let’s face it, we all do at some point in time, it will give us the extra motivation to be ” above and beyond ” people.

  1. Reblogged this on inspirational author – c. l. mareydt and commented:
We need to be reminded of this daily in the work environment out there right now …

    • Thank you for re-blogging, it’s incredible how God gives us words and they resound with others. It is an circle of encouragement, which is what we all need in this time in history 🙂

  2. Sometimes it’s so hare especially if we are having ONE of THOSE days 🙂 it’s a journey like everything in life ❤

  3. Another good one – thank you.

I have to agree. It’s important to keep a positive attitude. I admit, though I try my best to keep positive, I have my moments too. We just have to remind ourselves of this and instead of thinking of things as a chore, to try to put our best foot forward. 🙂
