To Encourage the feminine heart along lifes journey

‘I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from Him…..Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him.’ Psalm 62:1,5 NLT
‘All that I am wait quietly “………. Life is so incredibly noisy. Tuning out the constant din of demands, requests, lists, expectations, and catering to our perceived needs can appear to be an impossible task. The art of listening, truly listening, attention undivided has been replaced with the multi-tasking listener. We have become way too accustomed to focussing on multiples, driven by the bottom line of productivity.
Our children speak, our spouse speaks, a friend or colleague speaks………Yes, we are listening, but how much do we really hear? In the background our mind wanders to the scrolling list, as we attempt to keep one step, one thought ahead.
How much are we missing in the moment, the then and there?
God speaks!
Imagine if we gave all of ourselves, every bit mind, body and soul over to our time with Him. How much more would we hear? How much deeper would we go?
‘We receive only when we are recollected; only in silence is heard the beating heart of God.’- Father Bernardo Olivera.
Let us purpose ourselves to hearing, to giving Him our undivided attention and realise what we may only once have imagined.

A woman’s age old struggle……Finding the time and space to ‘Be still’.
Our hours are divided, in this age more than any other period in history, between so many and varied responsibilities. It can be overwhelming and exhausting.
Distractions are numerous and our order of priority may often become confused and unclear.
‘Listen, O daughter, Consider and incline your ear…image.’ Psalm 45:10
Could it be……if we gave Him, the very first of our day….
‘Be still and know that I am God…’ Psalm 46:10….And spent a portion of our time and all of ourselves in His Presence, that the hours ahead, hectic as they still may be, will flow……In and with ELOHIM ; His strength and power. Knowing JEHOVAH-JIREH; He will provide, and walking with the knowledge of JEHOVAH-SHALOM ; The Lord our Peace.
This is my prayer for you today….Lx

‘Inside, the leading priests and the entire high council were trying to find witnesses who would testify against Jesus, so they could put him to death. But their efforts were in vain. Many false witnesses spoke against Him, but they contradicted each other. ‘ Mark 14:55-56
Q. How do you cope with injustice in your life? What do we learn about injustice from Jesus?
Every single one of us could raise our hand to a ” Yes I have had an injustice done to me.” The degree to which these offences occurred would be many and varied. And sometimes the pursuit of justice is a warranted cause. But however considerable or trivial the issue may be, we usually want the perpetrator to be held accountable. Preferably that very instant. They cannot be allowed to get away with what they have done , it’s not fair. Our emotions can run away with us and we end up spending an awful lot of time mulling over and dwelling upon the incident. Churning our stomach into knots, focussing on negative thoughts and often venturing over into the toxic mindset of revenge. “Just wait till I get my chance, she won’t be getting away with that !”
All the while the person, the object of our obsessive thoughts, is usually oblivious to our distress , carrying on as usual and we are the only ones loosing sleep.
‘ But I say to you, Do not resist the evil man (who injures you); but if any one strikes you on the right jaw or cheek, turn to him the other one too.’ Matthew 5:39 Amp
This is a tough one to swallow, and so against our fleshly instincts. It is hard enough to cope with the wrongdoing let alone saying, ” Here’ s the other cheek , have a go at it while you’re at it !”
These are the times when we have to look wholly and solely to Jesus. Dig in our heals and lean on His understanding. It is a choice we have to make, to follow after His example , forgive and move on allowing God to deal with the situation . It’s a principle that we need to practice, and it’s difficult at first. Giving over control always is, but the more we walk in forgiveness and follow Jesus example, the more we will have a peace in our lives that overflows to others including those who injure us.
” But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven…”
Matthew 5:44-45

Then everyone will see the Son of Man arrive on the clouds with great power and glory. And He will send forth His angels to gather together His chosen ones from all over the world – from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven. Mark 13:26-27
Q. What expectation does Jesus set up with these words? How does Daniel enhance the picture? ( Daniel 7:9-14) How should we live in light of this promise?
Can you imagine being gathered up by an angel, an angelic being. Close your eyes and allow your mind to become engulfed in the picture of this incredible moment. Multitudes swept up to meet Jesus in the clouds. Pause and meditate on this beautiful image……………………………………………

In Daniel we read of a judgement , but still there is the beautiful picture of Jesus coming with the clouds of heaven. The wages of sin is death, but then there is Jesus.
For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He (even) gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. John 3:16 Amplified
So how should we live in light of this promise?
To be loved in this manner……..that our Father in heaven would sacrifice His own Son………live as though there is no tomorrow……….
Do what is right, love mercy and walk humbly with our God. Micah 6:8

Didn’t you ever read this in the Scriptures?
” The stone rejected by the builders has now become the cornerstone. This is The Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous to see.” Mark 12:10-11
Q. How does Jesus apply Isaiah’s cornerstone to himself? ( Isaiah 28:16-22) What does it mean for you to make Jesus the Cornerstone of your life?
Jesus knew that He would be rejected, but He also knew that upon Him, the new covenant would be built. That all who came to Him , built their lives upon Him, would have a place with Him in eternity.
A cornerstone is the basic element of something; a foundation. When grand or important buildings and edifices are constructed a ceremony is often held in honour of the laying of the first stone, to mark the commencement of construction.
Often we make decisions in hast, neglecting to pray and seek God’s guidance , we steam ahead building our own future and then wonder why the walls begin to crumble down. We have built on our own dodgy foundation , one that has not been tested and proven.
” Look ! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem ( Zion ) . It is firm, a tested and precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never run away again.” Isaiah 28:16
What a beautiful promise , that we can confidently build our lives upon one who is secure, steadfast and unwavering, who has been proven and cherished, a reliable foundation.
When all else seems to be failing, when it seems as though our world is crashing in around us, our cornerstone stands firm. Jesus will forever be there waiting for us to place the building blocks of our lives securely upon Him.
